As I write this, I have 8 different applications running on my computer. As easy as it is to mouse down to the start bar and switch between them, it’s sometimes easier to use a keyboard shortcut. Try it out yourself! Leave this browser window open and then open a few other applications. When you have several open, hold down the ALT key and then hit the TAB key (ALT+TAB). Depending on which version of Windows you’re using, you will either just switch between open applications or visual a depiction of open applications will pop up. If the latter, simply continue to hold down ALT and release/depress TAB until the one you want is highlighted and then let go of both keys to switch to it.
